What is Trapeze Yoga?

Inversion Therapy and Suspension Strength Training

Why Practice Trapeze Yoga?

  • Spinal Traction - relieve back pain by naturally hanging upside down from your hips. Traction poses stretch and lengthen your spine after long days sitting or standing.

  • Core Strength - build functional core strength in dozens of dynamic and fun postures.

  • Grip & Upper Body Strength - challenge your grip and upper body strength at your own level using just gravity and your own body weight.

  • Flexibility - Practice deep, passive backbends, splits, and hip openers. The Yoga Trapeze is used a supportive prop and gravity is used to safely pull you deeper into the pose.

  • Posterior Chain Strength - Strengthen and balance the muscles along the backside of your body that are used to support your spine.

Intro Trapeze Series

Join this series of 4 classes with the same small group. Introduction to Trapeze Yoga will start with the foundations of Trapeze and together we will build up to more advanced movements. Each session will be 60 minutes and will take place 4 consecutive weeks in a row. By the fourth class you will be more than ready to join any of the regularly scheduled Trapeze classes.

*Note - you are not required to go through a series to join the regularly schedule Power Trapeze or Restorative Trapeze classes. The series is designed for those that prefer to learn in a small group setting with other beginners that are at the same level.

This class can sometimes cause dizziness for those that are not used to being upside down or suffer from motion sickness. This class is not recommended for those that are pregnant, have high blood pressure, a heart condition, glaucoma, a recently fractured back or leg, osteoporosis, or hernias. Please consult with your doctor before joining a class if you have any health conditions or injuries that may put you at risk in this class.
